Today I wanted to have a play and try something a bit different. I still wanted vintage and I wanted washy too so……. I used Thirsty Brush Bay and Oregano stamp set and dies for this teqnique. Basically I used my stamp press and stamped out the leaves onto watercolour card and then I spritzed over them with water. I stamped out the large leaves again and coloured and die cut them and mounted then onto the card and added the lovely sentiment. I added a few waterdrop gems and then I brushed around the edges with some Vintage Photo Distress Ink

I have created an 8×8 card by making layers using the different papers for effect. I have used vintage photo distress ink to edge the papers and I have also distressed the edges of the paper for a more authentic vintage feel. I have added a small length of vintage ribbon on one of the layers too. I used some die cuts from my stash to cuts some flowers from the papers and a little vintage image from my stash. I think all in all it has turned into an exquisite card.
Ahh, technology… it may seem somewhat daunting but it deserves a little credit for driving our creative possibilities. Have you ever thought of digital crafting? Digital Crafting is using your computer to access images to create craft projects. Digi crafting can be as easy or as complicated as you want to make it, as in the physical world ‘crafting is crafting’, we manipulate paper, card and images to create projects and it is no different in the digital world, exept for one very important thing, YOU NEVER RUN OUT OF PAPER! You can print out the same image over and over again so no stroking your papers for ever because you dont want to use it lol
I am on the Design Team for Katy Sue Designs and I am going to be working with the papers from their shop and with over 200 collections on their website there is definitley something for everyone.
