Hi there this is my project for Thompson Crafts this week –
This week I have another little mini scrapbook page with a twist, I have distressed it and folded the corners over for more interest. I started out by distressing the edges of my paper and then popped some paint splatters in black and white for the background. I gathered all my pieces together and decided on a pleasing orientation and glued it all down. I’ve added seed beads and sisal for texture and interest. Hope you like hugs Aly xx

I think sometimes we overthink when we look at a piece of paper and try to decide what we are going to make and sometimes its just nice to have a rummage in the scraps box and pull out some bits and have a play and see what we can come up with, so that is what I did!
You will need – Craft O’clock Dream Shadow Paper Pack sheet # 2 Black and white paint for splatters Gold paint for splatters A mirror stamp onto thick greyboard Ggreyboard swirls Rose and leaf molds Mirri board for the mirror Doiley Sisal
I have splattered my backing paper with black and white paint and some gold. Colour a doiley with gold paint and pop it behind the mirror, create the orientation you would like and stick it down. I had all these bits and pieces on my desk as they were left overs from other projects and I thought the”Dont overthink it” sentiment was just great for me too.
Hope you enjoy the project and have a go at something yourself Hugs Aly xx

MDF Coaster Crackle Paste Script Stencil or rub ons Typed ribbon Smal key embelishment Purple paint Gesso Some little paper hearts Shreddd hessian/straw Metal embelishments Heart Pin Glue Gun
1. Gesso your coaster let dry then spread a little purple paint with your finger, let that dry, then brush a small amount of crackle paste on and dry off. 2. Using a script stencil or rub ons just pop some onto the project to start creating texture and interest. 3. Arrange the embelishments you wish to use to create your design onto the coaster, then when you are happy, using a glue gun, start to glue down your elements.
With all the uncertainty and anxiety at
the moment with the lockdown etc, I am definitley feeling THANKFUL and I
thought that could be the theme of my next piece of work. Here I have
use a HUGE tag its actually 25cm x12cm so its a big one!
Adhere the Paper to the tag that you would like as the background
Using a stencil, smooch through some texture paste
Using a script stencil and some black soot ink create some interest by inking through with Black Soot Distress Ink
Colour up 2 small mdf hearts with the distress Ink Stain in Fired Brick
Cut out your floral elements that you would like on your tag, I have used AB STUDIO sheet 6 Feel It and Amazing Flowers
Arrange your elements into a pleasing orientation then using a glue gun and wet glue adhere your elements as you wish
Add Sisal and Cheescloth in areas for texture and interest.
Using wet glue in a couple of areas add some glitter for effect too
Finally add a sentiment and ribbon to your tag
